We have teamed up with German company Faber-Castell, who have been manufacturing pencils since 1761 and Swiss company Caran d’Ache, who too have a great heritage and have been producing luxury writing instruments from their Geneva base since 1924.
Faber Castell have been producing pencils since 1761, although it wasn’t until 1840, some 79 years later, that the pencils were marked with the Faber name by Lothar von Faber. By doing so, Lothar produced the worlds first branded writing instrument. He also established standards for length, diameter and lead hardness.
In 1889, when Baroness Ottilie von Faber married the wonderfully named Count Alexander zu Castell-R√ľdenhausen, the famous Faber-Castell name was born. Faber-Castell are now the leading producer of wood-cased graphite and colour pencils in the world.
The environment is extremely important to the company and they have recently been awarded a forestry commission certificate following a successful reforestation project. Projects like these assure a sustainable supply of Timber without damaging precious natural resources.
Shopisticated, classic and timeless. These three words best surmise the Ambition range from Faber Castell. Each pen or pencil in the range has a black or pearwood barrel, offset with polished chrome detailing. The fountain pens have a high-quality stainless steel nib, while the pencils have strong 0.7mm lead (B).
The E-Motion pencil will attract immediate attention with its combination of beguiling curves and gleaming metal set against pearwood. The propelling pencil features a continuous twist mechanism, breakage-resistant 1.4mm lead and an extra large replaceable rubber under the cap. Fountain and ballpoint pens are also available in this range and all come in either brown, black or dark brown.
Perfect Pencil Idea
The aim is perfection. The prefect pencil is a high-quality graphite pencil with non-breaking lead, sharpener, non-smudging rubber and extender all in one.

All pens in this collection have a large diameter body, made from brass with a rhodium coating. Rhodium, a precious metal, more expensive than gold, gives he pens a beautiful silvery sheen. The fountain pen has a nib constructed from 18ct. gold.
Pens in the Ecridor Collection all have a distinctive hexagonal body with intricate chevron detailing. The bodies are constructed from brass and have a silver-plated and rhodium coated finish.
A great entry to the Caran d’Ache range, the Dunas range, each pen has a highly-quality hexagonal body and cap made of a durable synthetic resin. The trims are plated in chromium. Those with a keen eye for detail will appreciate the Caran d’Ache identification around the ring.
